Jesus Encounter...

As I am sitting here this morning, drinking my coffee, debating if I should go for a nap or not, I started thinking about last night. I felt God prompting me to write about it.

So about last night.. a few of our church family drove two hours to attend this Jesus Encounter event at local church in Fredericton. One of our Pastor has been preaching at this church for a few months. Our praise team were also leading the worship. What a beautiful and powerful night! There is something special when we all gather together to worship our Lord! And it doesn’t even matter if we are gathered with people we never meet before. At the end of the day, we are all children of God. We are all there for one reason only, Jesus! A group of people of all ages. Coming from all different places. With different experiences, different views on life. People with a broken heart, people who are ill, people who might be dealing with depression and anxiety. When we all gather together for our Lord Jesus, none of those differences matter. Jesus is all that matters! It helped me realize a few things, when you have Jesus, you have His love. You love others, even strangers because He loves you. How powerful is that? Only because of Jesus, I am capable of loving a stranger who I know nothing about. God’s love is so beautiful. It is pure and it is perfect. It also helped me realize that I was created to worship Him! Worshipping is more than listening to a song and lifting my hands up. It’s realizing what God has done for me! It’s humbling myself before God and accepting His perfect love. God came to earth as a human for me. He lived a perfect sinless life for me! He was tortured, shamed, spit on, made fun of for me! He was crucified for me! He died for me! He went to hell for me! He defeated death for me! He rose again for me! And for you!! God alone is worthy of your worship! Why wouldn’t we want to spend our day worshipping Him! I am just in awe for God. I am forever blessed because of Jesus. Blessed and thankful that He chose me. I think it is safe to say that last night, I had an encounter with Jesus. I pray your week is filled with revelation of Jesus. God bless Nancy xo
