I am who you say I am...

Yesterday I was sitting on the couch chatting with my husband, and I asked him “Do you remember when you use to ask me why we were on this earth? What was the purpose of it all? Were we just meant to work, pay bills and then die eventually?” Before meeting Jesus, we both remember having a void that nothing could ever fill. Wondering what was the purpose of this life on earth is. If we were just meant to die at the end.

God has created you. God has made you in his own image. You are special to Him. So special! He loves you beyond everything else He created. You are His precious creation. How special is that? Knowing our good God made you specifically and said it was good. That He created you for a purpose.

When I think back of only a little over a year ago, how much our lives have changed. I could have never done it by myself! There is only one person who can change your whole life if you let him, and his name is Jesus. How powerful his name is? The more I get to know Jesus, the more I get to know myself and discover what is my purpose on this earth.

Last Sunday, my husband and I had a powerful encounter at church. Our pastor was filled with the Holy spirit and wanted to pray for people and asked everyone who needed prayers to walk to the front of the church. I had no intention of going because I felt like I had the best week with my mind filled with Jesus’ peace. But God told me to go and to bring my husband with me. This is how important it is to be obedient even though you don’t feel like you need anything. God knows what’s best for you.

I went and brought my husband. After being prayed over, our pastor came back to us. By the spirit of God, he had a word for us. A powerful one. I truly believe it was God telling us his calling on our lives. It made me realize how bad I want to be who God says I am. It left me wanting for more of what God has planned for us. To live my life for Him. When people look at me, I want them to see Jesus! I want them to feel the love that Jesus has for them through me. I want to love others like Jesus loves me. I want to share his good news with everyone I meet. I want to help people get closer to Jesus. To bring them to his Word. I am so blessed that God choose us. That he called us by name. Why would I want to be anyone else other than who God says I am? God bless, Nancy xo
