When God first put it in my heart to blog about being a new Christian, I made a list of subjects that I could write about. Thinking it would be a weekly thing or close enough. But I would sit there with my laptop open and just be blank, not knowing exactly what to say. Then I realized that it should not be the way, that I should wait until the Holy Spirit would prompt me on what to write about.
Today I felt prompted to write about God being at work. We may not always see it or understand it at first but when you look back, it truly is remarkable. I think back of just a few months before covid hit. My husband worked at the airport for many years. He never thought he would leave the airport but the year before covid started, a friend of his told him he should apply at his work. He did and ended up getting a job there. Then a few months later, the airport was shut down and a lot of people were left unemployed. My husband was able to work through the whole pandemic. I had applied for a government job just a few months before covid that I did not get but thanks to God because I know I would have lost my job being new and all. I know God was looking out for me because I was able to work from home at my current job.
God is always at work. Even when we don't see it. He was at work in your life even before you knew Him. I was part of a wedding a few years ago, and when my husband and I had set a date for our wedding, I contacted the Pastor from our friends wedding. I remember him asking us if we wanted to have God in our wedding and we both politely declined. Then when my husband and I became Christians and started reading the bible, we wanted to get baptized so I reached out the Pastor who married us and he invited us to his church. Where we would meet some of the most wonderful siblings in Christ we could ever ask for. People who genuinely love and care for one another. People who would help us grow in our new faith. People who truly love Jesus.
God is always at work. He is at work in my husband and I's lives. He is at work in your life. Sometimes its not obvious, sometimes we may not understand what He is doing or why but I know that it is always in our best interest. God is at work.. praise Him for what He is doing in your life.
