Storms...

I've been sitting here working while listening to my new favorite song and it inspired me for my new post. In case you want to listen to this beautiful song..

As a Christian, God doesn't promise that storms wont hit us but he does promise that He will be with us every step of the way. It seems so simple, I know, but it is something that I often forget and struggle with. When I hear bad news or something bad happens, I am always so quick to react. My mind that is. I will make up all kinds of scenarios and worry about the future. And when we are dealing with a pandemic, government corruptions, human trafficking and what seems to be a battle between good vs evil, it is so easy to focus on the storm and not on the one person that matters the most. Jesus.

Storms are not meant for us to fight. Those battles belongs to God and Him alone. We are to trust, hope and have faith that God will fight our battles. That He will make good out of everything. And that my friend is something we can rejoice in!

No matter how bad the storm you are facing is. How strong the wind is blowing. How high the water is rising, you can trust that God will hold your hand every step of the way. That He will safely bring you on the other side. Never lose focus on Jesus and pray. Ask Him to give you strength. Cast your fear unto Jesus. He will gladly carry it for you. We serve a good God after all.

I was listening to one of my favorite Pastor and he was talking about when Moses and the Israelites were running away from Egypt and they were crossing the Red Sea. The Pastor said this "Remember, there is water on the right side. Water on the left side. For the enemies it was a trap. For the Israelites it was a path." Powerful words!

We wont always understand why God will allow certain things to happen. Or why God isn't doing something about it right away but we can trust that He will in His own time.

God bless, Nancy xo

Very good writing..great job nancy.. Psalms 22 and Matthew 27:46 David and Jesus both asked "why are you forsaking me!" We do the same as them when our storm gets real bad we feel that God left us there. But He does not he is there every step of the way. As a parent have you ever had a chil in the hospital with so much pain you get upset and cry and feel you cannot do anything to help. But you let the doctors do what they can and you show your child that you are there and it will be fine and with a face of faith.. God does the same.. His love is so great and tears him to see us…
